The School Day
Returning in September 2021
Welcome back!
We are really looking forward to welcoming all children back to school – we have missed you even more than usual.
Staff have been working hard to make sure there is still a warm, nurturing and engaging welcome for you whilst keeping school and everyone in our community as safe as we can.
I hope you find the information on these pages helpful in terms of what we will be doing and what you can do to help keep everyone safe. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Attendance
Attendance is one of our highest priorities at Chapel Street.
Children who have poor attendance and punctuality find it much harder to learn to read. This greatly affects their academic performance and results. We are encouraging all our families to work with us to try and improve your child’s attendance and punctuality at school.
From September, school attendance will be compulsory. Non-attendance will be recorded as unauthorised and could result in a fine from the Local Authority.
If your child has a high temperature, please keep them at home and inform school straight away. We will be able to give you the most up to date advice on what steps to take next in relation to coronavirus and testing.
If your child is not attending school for any other reason, you will need to ring the school office before 9am.
