Parent View

"Parent View" gives you, the parent/carer, the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about Chapel Street Community Primary School. You can share your thoughts on many topics; from the quality of teaching, safeguarding practices, resources and curriculum and even how you feel about the way in which we deal with bullying and/or poor behaviour.

Ofsted will use the information you provide towards their decisions about which schools to inspect, and when.

By sharing your views, you’ll be helping Chapel Street to remain consistent, target areas you feel need improvement and continuously implement our relational approach across school.

Here are the results of the most recent questionnaire for parents and carers.

Below is a selection of positive comments that have been shared with us from our families:

“My child is happy at school, is enthusiastic about his learning - we couldn’t ask for more. Lovely staff and some lovely children!”

---

“My son enjoys school so far – we rate Chapel Street very highly and always speak highly of school when talking with parents who have children at other schools. We recommend Chapel Street to others too! Great staff, great children!”

---

“My three children really enjoy their lessons. I think the level of teaching is outstanding. I can’t thank the staff enough for the support they have given my children to help them not only improve but to excel at school. Thank you to all.”

---

“I recently attended ‘Maths Week’ at school so was able to sit in on a maths lesson. All the children were well behaved and fully engaged. The work was set according to ability/level and children were given tasks/work if needed. My son is very happy and settled at Chapel Street. He talks about his lessons at home which indicates he is engaged at school.”

---

“I would recommend this school to another parent because the school are preparing children for High School very well. The school staff are caring, welcoming and supportive.”

---

“I personally agree that school helps me to know how they taught pupils in the classroom by inviting the parents and carers. I really like the methods of teaching little ones. As for dealing with bullying cases, I never heard of any since my daughter had joined the school but I feel they have the ability to deal with it.”

---

“I have valued the support of my child’s class teachers whilst she has been having a difficult time.”

---

“Teachers are very kind and helpful. They always welcome children at the classroom door. Thank you.”

---

“The teacher tries hard with the work and the children have good behaviour with the teachers.”

---

“It’s a good school with hard-working staff.”
